Patrick Murphy
President & Founder
With an extensive 35+ years of locomotive and railway experience, Pat Murphy founded Shamrock Rail Services.
Pat started his rail career in the storehouse of the largest independent supplier of new & remanufactured locomotives, locomotive servicing, field services, and related parts.
During his combined 25 years, Pat ultimately reached Vice-President of Operations where he led an elite group of operations & field services teams.
The balance of his employment was spent at Regional & Shortline Railroad Group serving as Director of Purchasing & Mechanical Outside Services. Additionally, Pat worked for a Class One Railroad in Strategic Sourcing Group serving as Manager of US Store Operations. He gained vast knowledge of budget planning, functional structures, and critical railroad operation procedures.
Through his tenure, Pat has earned a comprehensive understanding of the locomotive and railroad industry. His experience brings unparalleled value to Shamrock Rail Services and its clients.
